In some places, autumn arrives with coats, grey skies and days that gradually move indoors.

In Formentera, the transition is much more subtle.

Light continues to take centre stage. Temperatures become milder. The Mediterranean remains close by and outdoor living continues to be part of everyday life.

What really changes is the pace.

The art of having more space

After the height of summer, the island begins to rediscover its quiet.

The beaches gradually empty. The paths seem longer. The villages begin to feel smaller again.

And everything that happens quickly during summer can now be enjoyed in a different way.

A morning walk.

A terrace in the sun.

The sea, with no plans afterwards.

At Blanco Hotel Formentera, this transition feels particularly familiar: the sense of calm that defines our way of experiencing the island seems to spread, little by little, to everything around us.

Continuing to live outdoors

Autumn does not mean saying goodbye to the outdoors.

October still brings pleasant temperatures, and Formentera continues to invite you to walk, cycle and discover its landscapes in conditions that are very different from the height of summer. The island's official autumn tourism campaign highlights nature, sport, culture and outdoor activities as some of the best ways to enjoy Formentera during these weeks.

It is also a good time to look up at the sky again.

On 9 October, Formentera Mira al Cel offers an evening of astronomical observation with telescopes, an activity particularly suited to an island where darkness and the night sky are part of the landscape.

And the following day, the landscape takes centre stage in a different way.

Running towards the sunset

On 10 October 2026, the 15K Formentera Sunset Run will start at 6:00 pm.

The event will feature 15K and 5K distances, bringing sport together with one of the most special moments of the day: the final hours of daylight.

It is difficult to imagine a more Formentera way of experiencing a race.

Not simply reaching the finish line. Also looking around. Feeling the temperature drop, watching the light change and running across the island as the day begins to fade.

The calm after summer

Perhaps that is why autumn fits so naturally with Blanco's philosophy.

Because it does not ask you to do less. It invites you to do things differently.

Walk more slowly. Sleep a little longer. Leave space between one plan and the next. Rediscover the things that can easily go unnoticed during the busiest months.

Formentera is still bright. Still Mediterranean. Still lived outdoors. It simply begins to do so with less noise.

And perhaps that is one of the most beautiful ways to discover it.

The end of summer has its own rhythm in Formentera.

The days are still long and much of life continues to unfold outdoors, but little by little, the island begins to embrace a different energy. An invitation to enjoy these final weeks of sunshine, sea and Mediterranean life at a slower pace.

At Blanco Hotel Formentera, we believe that enjoying these days also means knowing when to slow down.

Mornings that begin differently

Not every day needs an alarm or an agenda.

A morning can begin with a leisurely breakfast, continue by the pool or start with mindful movement through the experiences offered by Almma, the wellness brand by Paya Hotels.

Outdoor yoga and Pilates classes offer a way to begin the day by connecting body and mind in a setting designed for wellbeing.

Not as a break from your holiday, but as part of it.

Wellness can also be part of the plan

During these final weeks of summer, Almma continues to expand this approach to wellbeing with special experiences designed to dedicate a little more time to yourself.

This Saturday, 29 August, Blanco Hotel Formentera will once again host the One Day Retreat, bringing together Pilates, brunch and Facial Yoga in a single day. An experience designed to pause, take care of yourself and dedicate a few hours to wellbeing.

And on 20 September, the season's final Special Wellness Experience will take place: Aroma & Clay, a workshop that brings together the worlds of aromas and clay in a sensory and creative experience, offering a different way to say goodbye to summer.

Two different experiences with the same intention: to create moments to reconnect, discover new practices and dedicate time to feeling good.

The luxury of not rushing

Afterwards, the day can continue without too many instructions.

An afternoon by the pool. A siesta. A walk to the sea as the intensity of the sun begins to soften. And, as evening falls, dinner at Carmen by Blanco.

Its Mediterranean proposal accompanies those late-summer evenings when sitting around the table, sharing and letting dinner linger become part of the journey itself.

At Blanco, wellbeing does not belong exclusively to a class or a particular moment.

It is about having time. Not having to decide what comes next. Allowing the day to unfold at its own pace.

Days that stay with you

Perhaps the best memories of summer are not always the most spectacular.

Sometimes they are a bright morning, a conversation that lingers, an unhurried dinner or that feeling of having spent an entire day without looking at the time.

That is the art of slow days.

And in Formentera, the end of summer still knows how to give us plenty of them.

In Formentera, some moments deserve to be experienced slowly.

A morning that begins without rushing. A conversation that lingers over lunch. A summer dinner where time seems to stand still.

Gastronomy is part of that way of experiencing the island. Not only because of what happens on the plate, but because of everything that happens around the table.

The flavour of slowing down

At Carmen by Blanco, every service invites you to savour the moment at your own pace.

The culinary proposal is rooted in contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, where seasonal produce and carefully selected ingredients are the true protagonists.

An honest, balanced cuisine designed to preserve the authentic essence of every flavour.

Because sometimes true luxury is simply having the time to enjoy.

More than just a meal

The dining experience begins long before the first course arrives.

It starts with the summer light filling the restaurant, the relaxed atmosphere that accompanies every service and the feeling that there is no need to hurry.

After a morning exploring the island, a yoga session organised by Almma, the wellness brand by Paya Hotels, or simply an afternoon by the pool, Carmen by Blanco becomes the place where the day continues naturally.

An experience where gastronomy, wellbeing and lifestyle come together in perfect balance.

Blanco's Mediterranean essence

Every detail at Blanco Hotel Formentera has been designed to inspire a sense of calm.

Gastronomy is an essential part of that philosophy.

It is not only about serving exceptional cuisine, but about creating a place where time regains its true value and where every meal becomes part of the memories you take home.

Because some experiences do not need grand settings.

Just a beautiful table, quality ingredients and the pleasure of sharing them.
